About the role
You will be a founding protocol engineer supporting the audit team — reproducible environments, fork tests, and automation around scope ingestion, diff review, and finding verification. Your work makes every engagement more consistent and defensible.
Responsibilities
- Implement and operate t-of-n MPC signing clusters with clear failure and recovery semantics
- Build the policy engine for approvals, time locks, and hardware-attested signers
- Design deterministic settlement flows and cryptographic receipts across L1/L2 paths
- Own reliability: runbooks, observability, chaos drills, and incident response habits
- Partner with cryptography research to ship secure, usable protocol surfaces
Requirements
- Strong systems / distributed-systems engineering background (Rust, Go, or similar)
- Experience with consensus, networking, or high-availability services
- Comfort with security-sensitive code and adversarial thinking
- Ability to write clear interfaces and documentation for external integrators
- Willingness to own production readiness from day one of a founding team
Nice to have
- Hands-on MPC, DKG, or threshold signing implementations
- Custody, exchange, or payments infrastructure experience
- Familiarity with ISO 20022, PvP/DvP settlement, or similar rails
- Prior work with enclaves, HSMs, or remote attestation
Benefits
- Meaningful founding equity
- Flexible PTO and remote-first culture
- On-call stipend as production systems come online
- Home-office stipend and hardware signing kit
- Health coverage as we formalize benefits
- Travel support for partner and security reviews
