About the role

You thrive owning features across React and Node.js that help auditors and clients move from scope to signed report. At Orion you are enabling a security company — not shipping on-chain custody or settlement products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement full-stack features spanning React clients and Node.js backends
  • Model APIs and domain flows for custody policies, settlement status, and attestation artifacts
  • Own reliability basics: validation, authz, idempotency, retries, and clear operator-facing errors
  • Instrument product paths so design partners and internal teams can debug with confidence
  • Collaborate with protocol and design to keep UX honest about what the system can and cannot guarantee

Requirements

  • Senior-level fluency building production systems in React and Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
  • Strong product sense — you notice when an API or UI creates operational risk
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, and careful handling of sensitive workflows
  • Comfortable owning features from design discussion through production monitoring
  • Clear written communication for specs, PR descriptions, and tradeoff notes

Nice to have

  • Exposure to fintech, compliance tooling, or admin/operator consoles
  • Experience with TanStack, Vite, or similar modern React toolchains
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, queues, or audit logging
  • Interest in cryptography-adjacent product surfaces (proofs, keys, attestations)

Benefits

  • Meaningful founding equity
  • Flexible PTO and remote-first culture
  • Learning budget for courses, books, and conferences
  • Home-office stipend and hardware signing kit
  • Health coverage as we formalize benefits
  • Optional hub-city team gatherings
