About the role

This role is for a senior Solidity engineer who ships contracts in Hardhat day-to-day: expressive TypeScript tests, mainnet forks, upgrade scripts, and clean verification flows. You will own protocol features end to end inside the Hardhat workspace — distinct from our Foundry-leaning Smart Contract Engineer track and from the Hardhat tooling role that builds the platform itself.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Solidity contracts for settlement, attestation anchors, and related protocol surfaces in Hardhat
  • Write rigorous Hardhat + TypeScript test suites, including fork-based integration and upgrade path coverage
  • Own deploy, simulate, and verify workflows for networks we support — with reproducible scripts and clear runbooks
  • Collaborate with security reviewers to triage findings and land remediations without slowing the roadmap
  • Raise the standard for readable contracts, explicit invariants, and PR-level threat notes

Requirements

  • Senior Solidity ability with Hardhat as a primary professional toolchain
  • Strong TypeScript testing and scripting skills inside Hardhat projects
  • Production experience deploying and verifying contracts across environments
  • Security-minded review habits — you catch footguns before they become findings
  • Clear written communication for specs, rollout plans, and audit responses

Nice to have

  • Hardhat plugins, custom tasks, or advanced network configuration experience
  • Familiarity with OpenZeppelin upgrades, proxies, and multisig operations
  • Exposure to institutional / custody / settlement domains
  • Comfort collaborating with Foundry users in a multi-toolchain repo

Benefits

  • Meaningful founding equity
  • Flexible PTO and remote-first culture
  • Budget for audits, Hardhat/cloud forks, and security conferences
  • Home-office stipend and hardware signing kit
  • Health coverage as we formalize benefits
  • Optional team gatherings in hub cities
